May 16, 2010 - The new G2 Moto "Daytona SportBike" Yamaha R6 put Lead Rider Will Harfert #96 on the podium twice this weekend.
Team Director Alex Knox stated, "our goal this weekend was for Will to get to know the new bike, get comfortable, and build up speed slowly." However, it is evident that that was not the case.
Will Harfert #96 came out methodically on Saturday during testing and immediately felt comfortable on the new machine. With the bike wearing a new set of Pirelli DOT tires, Will was getting faster each session and by Sunday's finish, he had two third place finishes along with two fourth place finishes. Will was overheard saying, "I couldn't help myself...the extra horsepower is awesome...the bike is fast." A jubilant Alex yelled, "this is beyond my expectations for this weekend." Congratulations to #96 Will Harfert and the G2 Moto team for an excellent race weekend.
